gotta admit, some of these amp's do not take any fire precautions. there is a local one that has a makeshift lampshade using a hand towel thrown directly on the light bulb.

i did this recently in an AMP. I put a towel on top of the light on the wall because it was too bright. Mid session we smell smoke and couldn't figure out from where. By the time we realized it's the towel it had a hole burnt through it. Could've went bad. Yikes . Mms was upset.

I pass by it a few times a week and have seen a dumpster periodically in the back. But it’s slow going. Wouldn’t count on a come back for at least a month or two. Doubt the spa could open unless the entire building gets a CO.

They will be out for a while they have no intention of opening in near by area. I would say they would be closed for six to seven months.

Man oh man it was like 1998 there was a spa on rt9 in freehold called pine therapy. Brand new place nice lady just saved up money and setup. My friend from another spa started working there asked me to come in. Place was in between Army recruit center and a bible store. Brand new beautiful sauna just installed. Go see my friend for rubby as she just started there. Nice place So get in brand new sauna heat gets on and all of a sudden fire alarm and sprinklers come on. The sprinkler caps weren’t rated for the heat in the sauna and they have like a wax cap or something that melts then sprinklers come on and fire alarm. Goes off. Total mayhem in the whole complex and I’m in there naked with these girls that are clueless. The whole strip mall is evacuated into parking lot everything in all shops soaked with nasty rusty black water from being in pipes. I’m there I get dressed make sure no fire and I figure out what happened. Pye the owner is frantic. She calls landlord hands me phone he tells me how to go in back shutoff sprinkler system before fire dept and cops arrive. So I do it and say I’ve gotta go. Then I see my friend there crying said please get me outta here before cops arrive so I hide her in my car. We go to diner eat spend time until driver comes from north Jersey to pick her up. Never saw her again texted me from Florida thanks for being a friend. The company that installed sauna and fire inspector that gave inspection on sauna overlooked the sprinkler heads. Really bad situation. Poor lady owner spent all her money there I guess insurance paid out but it was tragic.

No progress to reconstruct the building. River Spa is not coming back there. May be new owner of land will construct multilevel building due to prime location. Have no hope.
