Yeah, POs are notriously unresponsive about why they are unresponsive. I agree with darkwingbuck's answer.
I think PO's get a lot of queries from newly qualified mongers, undecided "looky loos" thinking about taking the plunge. (Most of aampreview readers are probably looky loos, maybe never actually mongered.) Queries, like whose available, etc. The POs don't want to list all available, then have the newbie monger, go and say I'll think about it. Too much work for nothing. Why should PO be polite and answer "not available" if it encourages a "who else?" dialog, with an unlikely to get a booking.

But sounds like this is not the case w/ dmartell above who supposedly got approved and now PO is not answering when he wants to book, so not just looking. So if that's the case he's not wasting time of PO he actually wants to book. If the girl dmartell wants to book is fully booked a good PO would say she's fully booked and tell him others avail, like all the other PO's I deal w/ do, LSC, BG, VF and LKS.
In my opinion, only tell the PO, your first choice, and then if rejected immediately give the PO your second choice. If you give the PO both choices, game theory suggests, you might get the second less popular choice even if the first is available since the first more popular choice can easily be filled while second maybe not. But don't know if this happens.
I think it's not necessarily about getting on their bad side but limiting new mongers to the org.
I got no answer from BGC trying to qualify in past despite long history, more recently asked what I needed to qualify, the PO said "oh your already qualified". My problem was I waited a year before trying BGC due to pandemic. Usually, it's easier to get into new orgs.

There are several ways to do it imo. You can ask about a specific girl and a specific slot. You can ask about who's available at a specific slot (kinda like a lineup) so that theg can't pull what you said they could.

Nah, not approved with BGC, and haven't tried Caras. I tried screening with BGC a couple of days ago, gave them references from LA, and they told me to go through "urcleared.com" to get approved, which hasn't worked lol. So the only bay area org I'm fully GTG with is Kpie.
I saw some girls from EBK like 3-4 years ago, but otherwise haven't mongered in this area at all so have no other references really.

Maybe I'll try this. I only asked about seeing a specific girl, but still sucks to blow money on a number 3 or even 4 choice when I only monger every couple of months when the itch comes. I also have a flexible schedule so I tend to ask for availability in broader time frames. Like what is X girls availability this week/next 2 days. They say pre-book on their website but maybe they don't like that lol? I know some orgs only allow 1 day in advance sometimes.
Have they asked for dl, photo ID, work id and pic with some areas blanked out? Do that. It's actually probably safer than urcleared.com. There is a whole thread in last few days in a discussion of review about BGC Jamie about why this is done. Search for BGC Jamie or my handle.

The PO isn't interested in providing scheduling info, even the PO sometimes doesn't know until you point out the website says she's supposed to be back on Wednesday. What's on the website is what the schedule is or maybe not. Several times I've prebooked when confirm, too bad, she's decided not to work to heck with the prebooks, commonly the answer is it's her period or she's sick because that sounds better.

Nah, they sent me straight to urcleared, didn't ask for ID/work info etc. I even offered to screen a different way and they didn't respond. Urcleared in hindsight seems hella sketchy, and now I'm shitting my pants a little cause I filled it out while I was drunk and horny a couple nights ago, and now they have info I really don't want them to have.
Yeah, they drop the ball sometimes, too busy, space out, etc. Problem, sometimes they can be super busy right after 8am on popular days, or just absent for pee break, etc.
This happened to me, after waiting 30 minutes after 8am query (org wouldn't let me prebook, no pandemic activity previous 6 months), I booked still available provider at another org. Of course about 5 minutes later, original org responds, I say too late. He was kind of upset missing a booking, claiming he was busy with regulars, while I suspect he was just late to get online.

I think I mentioned somewhere that I had a difficult time getting qualified with BGC despite being long time bay area monger, sent them dl id with some parts blanked out that said was ok and my pic. But didn't hear back, tried again a few months later, they said "oh you're qualified". So, they are flaky.
Or, maybe they are really busy, and keeping you out because they have all of the regulars they need who are safer than new mongers. I would ping them every few weeks. The orgs are growing, so I still think they need to open their ranks periodically.
