Let's not get too wrapped up in our stereotypes here. There may be a grain of truth to this in general to seed the stereotype, but there are plenty of western women who put up with it (off the top of my head 2 out of the past 5 first ladies....hell, probably 22 out of the past 25 first ladies, none of whom were Japanese to my recollection). And there are plenty of Japanese women who would not. Lucky(?) for Nutopia he got one of the stereotypical ones.
