Going rates

Ok I’ve been following the forums awhile and see the rates all over the place. Pre pandemic out the door 1.6, 1.2 HE with exposure 1.0 without now 2.0 and even then they want more. My question is shouldn’t we have set rates so newbies know what to donate

If you want a standardized rate, you'll probably need to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement with the ISWU (international Sex Workers Union).

Back in SH days the rates were standardized and passed along by senior members to newbies.
Now rates do seem to be all over the place, and going up.
I like to tip upfront so I try to find what level of service is available from reading reviews. Then base my tip on that.

I am damn good at my job, and I would find it disrespectful for somebody to "set" my rate. I imagine they would feel the same. Especially when the options and more so, QUALITY, of the service is so varied.

There are many customers and many providers, all providing a similar product. Classic example of pure competition in a free market. No one "sets" the rate. The interactions of many actors result in a status quo.

For many years the going rate for a R&T amp was 60/40 for an hour massage/TS.
However, I don't think most of the providers will be happy with a $40 tip.
There are several R&T places I go where I feel the service is excellent and tip 50 or 60 depending on what happens .

i agree I just find it a pain in the ass that some of them are demanding and give so so service. I’ve been doing this for years and don’t mind tipping more if they don’t get pushy or bossy. If they ask for the tip upfront I show them and let them know they get it afterward depending on how they were.
Her one tell me I owed her all the money I showed her (120 )for a basic tug Told her she was nuts and left

Whenever they start with their shit, I get up and start to leave. I have been doing this too many years to let them and the little head dictate the session.
Invariably as I get up they will usually change their tune. If not, I'm gone.
