Highly respected people who are truly looking to better humanity have and insist on integrity in all facets of their studies - knowing that it will be scrutinized by people who share your train of thought . They compile the truth in order to find an answer that benefits us all.
Crappy people use studies to bend and shift outcomes so they can benefit themselves while deceiving others , generally for financial gain.
I neither partake in nor associate with the later. Your original post was not TLDR, rather I saw where your conspiracy theory was going and discounted it as such

No heroes here. Guy sneaking around in the Caribbean doing illegal test trials. But the FDA is completely corrupt at this point so it’s not like they are white knights. Then you have Jim Cramer and CNBC promoting stuff for profit. And a small pharma that’s business model is to get bought out by a big one.
Will the medicine be any good? Who knows, I can’t believe anyone. As the FDA gets half its funding from big pharmas instead of taxpayers, it’s natural to be very suspicious of the decisions they make. At this point you need studies done outside this country but not in some west Caribbean tiny country.
