Gonorrhea has hit a new level - this dreaded disease can no longer be combated by antibiotics or any other remedy known to modern epidemiology.

I get it , it feels better , lots of gals on prep etc. we rationalize to satiate our risk appetite .

Untreated Gonorrhea will kill you , slowly in stages. It is now bring reclassified above HIV which is manageable as a non curable , sexually transmitted disease resulting ultimately in death .

Consider this before you throw caution to the wind . I’m sure I’ll get all kinds of rebuttal, criticism and alternative commentary to the medical facts contained in the link - all Im saying is - put a hat on Johnson

That’s why I posted it . This isn’t the old days . Today you can do a hit of blow and die from fentanyl before you hit the ground. The THC concentration of pot in 1975 was 2-3 % . Today with cross germination the THC concentration is 23-28%, hence pot is causing heart attacks in young people .

The takeaway is yesterday’s perceptions no longer apply especially with STD and STI ‘s . It’s a brave new world .

Do you really want to sit there with your doctor, while they explain that you are dying from BBFS and have them ask you “ why didn’t you use a condom?” . This is a working girl who sees 15-20 guys a week . 80 a month and you think she is clean? Not one of these guys who engage in BBFS steadily , has something ? The doctor would ask , what were you thinking ? And what would you say ? Oh all the guys on the forum are doing it ?

In the words of my old principal “ so if everyone jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, you would follow them?”

This is micro organisms - think it all the way through before you act .

Bro idk how some ppl engage in BBFS. I can’t even do BBJ without a fear of catching something. TBH I can’t even touch lips with a provider because I just imagine how many people she tongued before I showed up or how many people did CIM
I’m about there with you. I like kissing , but the thought of some dude having blown a load in there less that thirty minutes ago is ever present on my mind .

I do engage in BBBJ and yes the thought on contracting an std like herpes is making me rethink it . So far little head is winning

But BBFS ? Hell no and BB Greek ? WTF ??

But seriously, the topic of BBFS is obviously complicated. Yeah, your risk exposure to many STDs goes up a lot when you don't use a condom. OTOH for gonorrhea specifically, the top Google result says about condom effectiveness in preventing it: "Two cross-sectional and one case-control study showed 49-75% reduction in risk of gonorrhea."

According to NIH, odds of getting gonorrhea from an infected girl are 20% per sex act. If that's averaged to include both covered and raw acts, and we assume both equally likely (big if's), and assume 67% risk reduction, then we're talking 10% chance covered and 30% raw*.

Is that better? Yeah. Is that foolproof? Hell no.

Not to mention the CDC says you can get it orally, too.

AND not to mention that the CDC says > 50% of all cases are for folks 15-24. I.e., NOT in the AMP demographic. I.e., you're not safe dating civvies, either.

While I'm undercutting the OP's argument a little here, I'm glad he posted. It is important for everyone to understand the risks out there, along with the general message that the disease/risk landscape has likely significantly changed for folks since they last had sex ed class.

* These numbers could be wildly off base, I'm not a health professional or a statistician, just looking up stuff from reputable gov't agencies and doing some simple math.

Howitzer64 thank you for posting... as someone who sees people in a health clinic, especially older middle aged men who somehow caught gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV and have "no idea" how as they are married, and then have to go on meds, asking 50 different questions about when can they still have sex with their wife, etc it's definitely a real issue. You definitely see the broad spectrum of stupidity and whining when someone gets a result they didn't think was going to happen to them. I know some guys are either stupid and don't understand or choose to ignore it but at least it's good to have the information out there.

that’s way off - you said if that’s averaged to include- it’s not averaged covered and uncovered . The failure rate of condoms is 2-3% condom failure mostly breaking . 97-98% of condom failure is due to misapplication of the condom, not putting it on right like inside out and pulling it down only 2-3 inches. Also using it more than once - yup 40% of people use the same condom twice . Ugh.

The concept that there is only a 20% safety difference between covered and uncovered is flawed .

Second those numbers are based a percentage of mass people who have gonorrhea. The rate of working girls with it is over 60%. Many don’t know they have it - we as men get the open sores theirs are deep inside .

It is pretty to see another antibiotic coming - could be longer before we can get it .

For now I’ll bag it

So it’s a good thing I put my focus on climaxing in 10% of the time the rest of you guys spend inside her.

Seriously though I don’t do bbfs as I don’t really enjoy it that much better. But I will accept BBBJ every time it’s offered as the pleasure overwhelms the risk to me.

But as to that, I can remember when Len Bias died and the media was portraying it like everyone who did cocaine was going to die. I remember when HIV was completely inescably fatal. I remember when Covid was worse than the bubonic plague, according to the media and the NIH. So while I certainly worry about these things, they are solvable problems.

That doesn’t mean I’d be indiscriminate if I had a wife right now.
