Getting Phone Number to Use

Any suggestions on how to get a second phone number to use short of buying a cheap phone? I tried to setup a second Google account to us voice but it wanted to verify m with my cell number that is already registered to an account.

Try “Text Now” app. Free number to use for text and calls as long as you use it at least once every 30 days. Their is a subscription option as well but haven’t needed it. You can call or text yourself once every 30 days to avoid payment if needed, if you haven’t used it enough.

I like that it gave me options for phone numbers that are local to my area.
