Each county sheriff wants to to outdo the other. Between hotel stings and AMP raids, this state is a no go zone.

Hey, the knuckleheads in Florida elect these sheriffs.

Nothing the mongering world can do if they vote for this.

What I find interesting about this article is the repeated use of the words ‘human trafficking’ in place of prostitution. Why? Probably several reasons.

LE is using "human trafficking" in all the prostitution busts. Not just in Florida, but in every state. It is part of the plan.

A recent study of 1,000 "human trafficking" arrests in Florida found that only 1 of the 1,000 was actually for trafficking.

Thank you Polaris and Bradley Myles with your “big data”. This ought to start the big grant money rolling in.

The continuous of john arrests whether at amps or stings (hotels) may hurt the amp businesses down the road. Part of politics is to keep them at the lowest economic mobility as much as possible and (not going to say it here).

I go to South Florida quite often. They've just about shut down every questionable AMP/MP in Palm Beach County. Some still in Broward and Dade. I found my new place for fun are some of the strip clubs for action. It's a little bit pricey, but safer, IMO than some MP joints. Since the Broward County sheriffs office seized the indigirls site, you have to rely on memory or E**S, which has some of them now posting on their site.

I have never seen so much action by one state against citizens since I started looking at arrest reports.

But the people in Florida elect their sheriffs. They are only getting what they voted for.
And the people who elected them are not the ones who hobby or go to adult clubs or establishments.

I would really like to see the other 999 file lawsuits against the state/county for defamation of character when they are called out as "human traffickers".

Ive been frequenting AMP's since 1981 during my college days. Ive gotten to know many Mama's and providers during my tenure and have yet to meet or discuss with one the prospects of being held hostage or ever feeling the treat of not being able to simply walk away. While some may have been here illegally the whole trafficking thing is nothing more than a posture for LE to try and justify a reason to attempt a sting. At the end of the day I ask how many such arrests have actually resulted in anything substantive.

I believe "human trafficking" is used as an excuse to secure government funding and private philanthropic donations. No one will donate to programs simply to stop prostitution. In fact, many argue for legalization. "Human trafficking" is a red flag word used to justify a war on prostitution by the religious right and the feminist left. Bradley Myles used this strategy to build a multi-million annual budget for Polaris, an ostensibly non-profit organization to fight prostitution by calling it "human trafficking". Last year Polaris pulled in $2M in government grants and $10M in additional private donations. Nearly 85% of that money was used for "delivering programs", which I interpret to include paying for staff. Mr. Myles siphoned off a six-figure salary plus unknown expenses while helping educate police how to bust little old asian women. Curiously, Bradley Myles just left Polaris for another position somewhere. We can only hope that Polaris will wither away without his admittedly excellent skill at convincing donors to give to fight this contrived "problem".

Most police jurisdictions now report their prostitution stings as human trafficking arrests.

Polaris and other groups have been quite successful. Two major Federal laws in less than two years is a victory for them.

What else awaits is anybody's guess. The Feds raided Eros in 2018, and that could be the mother of them all if a Grand Jury is looking into it.
