While your sarcasm is duly noted, you actually raise a great point. The lunatic leftist DAs in Manhattan and Atlanta are obsessed with minutiae that affected no one, rather than prosecuting dangerous criminals like flashmob robbers. Breaking windows and intimidating shopkeepers and customers with a crazed mob IS violent crime. And imbecilic DAs like Bragg let that go on uninterrupted while prosecuting someone for nonsense. Keep voting for Biden, Hochul, Adams, Bragg, James, etc... maybe next time you or a loved one will be inside one of those stores...
Slim, I don't believe in any extremism. I don't agree with releasing someone charged with a serious violent crime without bail. I think it is a mistake that could get innocent people hurt. I don't think it is only a right or left problem. I see people pointing the finger and saying the left is the problem or the right is the problem. There are extremists on the left and the right. Flash mobs breaking windows and stealing are violent crimes and the criminals should be punished.
You know what else is a violent crime? Murder. Have you ever looked at the statistics of Homicide rates across the country. Look at Florida, Georgia and Texas vs New York.
The homicide rate per capita is higher in GA, TX, and FL than it is in NY. I wonder if it has something to do with their loose guns laws? You get a gun. You get a gun.
I'm not saying that Hochul doesn't make mistakes but how is Ron Doing? Florida has a similar size population to NY. In 2021 Florida had 1468 homicides. In 2021 NY had 918 homicides. How is Abbot in Texas doing with their great gun laws? No wait, they had 2391 homicides in 2021.
But I agree with you Slim, they should punish criminals who commit violent crimes and we should elect politicians who pass laws that make sense and protect the people who voted for them.
