Does anyone remember Beppu Spa in Chinatown?

It was one of the first spas I was a regular of because I worked in the area. It was located on Elizabeth Street right above the supermarket on the fifth floor IIRC. There was a legitimate MP on one of the lower floors to throw off the scent.

When they initially opened, they had large bedrooms with natural light for the guests, a legitimate sauna and locker room. They had a television in the waiting area as well. As time went on, they scaled down the bedrooms and converted them to much smaller spaces with massage tables along with ditching the sauna. The service was always excellent but Yuri will always stick out.

I had stopped working in the area so I never had gone out of the way to visit again. Recently thought about it and the building now has a We Work like space so the spa along with the sweatshop are without a doubt gone.

Did anyone else ever find themselves here? BP was a gem for helping me discover new places.

Remember it well but was not a customer. Would be great if there was a resurgence of these more upscale places in Chinatown. Too many Unsanitary places these days ...
Great point re: upscale. Arguably the most decked out place I've been to that was reasonably affordable.

I remember it, I worked in that area also, and it was one of my first places where I became a regular.

Sofia/Bin was my favorite, Lily was also really good, popped my hobby cherry with her. Mama San was also available if you asked her, or booked an appointment super early. Good memories, thanks for the nostalgia!

You're welcome! It was also the place that gave me the itch for this hobby. I had this place saved in my phone because it was a must in Chinatown.
