When you tell someone about something illegal, shady or both, you are complementing their lives no matter who they are to you. If they are facing some kind of moral dilemma or a legal one, they won’t be in the position to lie about or tell they truth about something you don’t want to be known whoever approaches them.

Sometimes... less is more and and its best to keep you mouth shut if you don’t want something about you in the New Times or your orbitiary.

This is interesting.
So say I'm in a bar and telling some friends one of my hooker stories. (Not something I do all the time BTW, but it happens).
And an off duty cop is sitting on a stool near me and overhears.
What's going to happen??? Do you think he would even care? I don't.
It's not like I am giving out addresses and phone numbers.
I understand why you married guys keep quiet. I absolutely do.
But my situation is very different and I don't have the same reservations.

I don't talk about fight club. But ever read these threads? Some guys are dying to talk about it. They go to spas with friends and groups of guys.. They want to have get togethers at a bar or restaurant. Maybe they are lonely. IDK. I keep it anonymous and keep it moving.

I have never said one word about any of this to anyone. My only communication about the hobby is through boards. I have met a couple of guys from boards and typically, when in person, the hobby didn't actually come up.

I tell my long-term GF as she gets a kick out of it. Feels it is simply a good therapeutic thing for me. Even watched/helped a few times. But no one else knows. It’s our secret. So many people just don’t get it, or think it is so strange.
