Do you all think the girls get overworked?

Forget if the girls deserve x amount of money. Some are cool, some are desperate, are they getting overworked?
Do you all think most of the girls are overworked? Do you think it's management? does the 1 hr happen or it is 45 minutes?

All the years going, I truely blame these websites. I see lots of members chiming in or has the internet done the damage. I am not talking about law enforcement either.

I am mostly speaking of here in Philadelphia. How about New Jersey, Delaware, many miles out of state, Maryland, texas, ca, etc.

Massage is tough, especially if customers are waiting on a busy provider, everything else they do not so much.

I will say this.
The old GC and it's predecessors was absolutely not a clock watcher type of place.
There were times I booked for an hour was there for almost 2.
Or booked for 2 and was there for 3+.
And they gave the girls a good break in between.
But that place is history, unfortunately.
Bedford Hills is currenlty housing the reason for the great, preferred client first attitude.
Hopefully we will see this type of thing again in a year or two from now.
Wishful thinking on my part...

IMHO, they are generally NOT overworked. Especially for the [tax free] money they earn. In most spas, it's rare that a girl has more than six clients per day. That is essentially working six hours a day. They may do chores related to their work (laundry, resetting the room, cleaning up, etc.), but that is fairly light work. The girls I know spent most of the day on leisure activities (talking, watching TV, playing games, etc.). They may also spend up to an hour in the morning making themselves beautiful and, perhaps, showering and touching up between clients.

What does get monotonous is the amount of time they spend inside the spa without a break. Sitting around waiting for the next client is somewhat boring/stressful too. Outside of the city, many spend all day and night in the spa, so they can get kind of stir crazy. Girls from Flushing often get on busses and go all over the Eastern Seaboard & Midwest for work.

If the work were that bad, they would not do it. Almost no spa girl wants to go back to what they were doing before (12 hour shifts in restaurants, nail shops, legit spas, home health care, warehouse, hotel maid, etc.), because the work is usually harder for far less money. They stay because they become addicted the money and [relatively] easy lifestyle. The median income for an American is $50K, before taxes. Almost all these girls make far more than that. And employed Americans are far from underworked.

You wanna something that's actually very interesting what you just said and I think you're right.

It's definitely better than the strip club industry

I don't go to strip clubs hardly at all anymore (last one was back in 2002 in Las Vegas), but the girls there generally do pretty well. At SCs in hot locations, they do fantastic. It is also far easier on the body than what AMP girls do as many SC girls do little more than tease. The only thing that sucks is that they have to pay a "stage fee" whenever they work, both for the hot and cold time slots. That eats into their earnings a bit. You also see the older SC girl (late 30s to early 40s) who are trying to hang on. It's kind of pathetic. Again, they become addicted to the lifestyle.

Many SC girls in their prime could be rich if they only were wise with their money. But they aren't. Drugs, alcohol, parasite BFs and gambling eat up a lot of their earnings. Not to mention babysitters. Probably a lot of AMP girls might opt for SCs, but they lack the English skills to chat with customers. It's probably too public for them as well.

After one of you guys gives 6 massages a day for 5 days a week, for a month, let us know how difficult a job you think it is. In particular, your hands, wrists, forearms, shoulders, lower back, feet.....it is manual labor, unless all they do is soft touch.

Paying taxes has nothing to do with how difficult a job it is.

"According to the Census ACS survey, the median household income for the United States was $60,336 in 2017, the latest data available. 2018 Census ACS data (including 2018 national household income numbers) will be released in September of 2019. Median family income and per capita income for the United States are shown further down."

Estimates are that it is $63,000 plus in 2019, info will be out soon.

I have asked myself that question many times. Possibly, in the city shops they are but in the burbs I think boredom may be a bigger problem. I was at TO a few days ago and there was one car parked behind the shop when I got there. When I left the lot was empty. That was about noon, probably not their busiest time. What about the R&T shops in the burbs? I've been to a couple small shops that rarely get reviewed. Occasionally there will be one other guy when I get there. I think that if I worked in one of those I would need some good books. I have to agree with VJ on that.

Not sure what your point is in trotting out these stats. Based on the fourth fiscal quarter of 2018, the BLS claims that in that quarter, the median income for a full-time wage or salary worker on a weekly basis was $900. For a 40-hour work week, this translates to a yearly income of approximately $46,800 (slightly under my $50K guess). Again, that is pre-tax. I think most AMP girls easily do better than that. Why is median household income higher? Because multiple people in a household work (obviously).

As far as it being difficult, just about ALL jobs are difficult in some way: mentally, emotionally or physically. Comparing them is a little like apples and oranges. It also depends how well suited your are for a given job. Some people tend toward physical labor, others toward knowledge work. All the AMP girls I know have freedom of choice, and they choose AMP work. Most of them did other jobs before this. Some of them were even in professional positions that required a college degree. Never said AMP work can't be physically challenging, but lots of other jobs that pay much less are more physically challenging or dangerous. I've met people who lost fingers & eyes in factories where they weren't making jack squat.

Your numbers are even more telling when you look at areas.

Most posters here estimate an AMP worker's income based upon highly populated areas and the associated rates/number of clients. In those areas I am sure the average household income is north of $63K.

And where the ave household income is less that $63K, the traffic volume at AMPs is much less to.

I am sure many make a decent income. I suspect few make the awesome riches guys here want to believe.

The same wilde estimating happens with escort incomes. There I know the typical income is FAR less than what guys fantasize. Though there are some who make a very large income for a few years.

Reality in the sex industry is not a road to riches for most.

I have visited a legit spa that had specials for $45 for 1hr, fully legit so not much of tips. They do the same work but earn substantially less than girls that make their customers happy. So its all relative, I believe it is hard work but then great returns as well.

It isn't my point, it is published data, which I found interesting. I would have guessed household income would have been quite a bit higher than $63K, based on an average individuals income of around $45-50K.

My point on the difficulty of he job is unchanged. And paying or not paying taxes is irrelevant to the difficulty, but is an obvious sore point woth a lot of guys here, it comes up all of the time. Go into a cash business and you can enjoy the same.

Opportunity is disguised as hard work, i never understood the need to tell others how hard it is, emotionally draining, long hours, etc. no one is forcing anybody to work that hard.

Exactly. What is more work, 50 minutes of massage or 10 (or less) minutes of stroking? Lot of ladies started as legit and realize they can make triple the money by "massaging" one more area. I'm from the NYC area. In Chinatown Manhattan or flushing, the ratio of legit to non-legit is like 2-8.
