Any recommendations for places with very discreet entrances in midtown area on East side?
Have done some searching most I have seen here are very exposed and in very public and obvious areas
I know this is a busy part of town, but I must ask since this Congress would know

They all seem pretty discrete to me, because they’re mostly just regular unmarked doors with intercoms, no different from thousands of other building doors in the city. Most of the buildings have other businesses and/or residential units inside and nobody knows where you’re going once you’re inside. Same goes for the few that have doormen or front desks. Those guys obviously know when they see us always coming in and then leaving about an hour later, but they don’t give a shit. I always just greet them politely and say goodbye when I leave.

It always amuses me when I pass other guys on their way in or out of places, because of the they scurry out with their heads down and/or hidden behind baseball caps, hoodies, and dark glasses, like they just robbed a place. I usually just hold the door for them and say "What's up, Man?"

Like others who have commented in this thread, I think you might be overthinking this and/or making some assumptions that make the entrances seem more indiscreet than they are. Just my two cents, but for me discreet just means there isn't any logical reason anyone would pay attention to me as I come and go. I'm just part of the vast sea of humanity on the streets of NYC. I walk into an apartment building with a variety of tenants and residents. So do many others. I leave the building, as do others. Everything is good.

Personally I feel much more exposed when I park my rental car behind a brothel in Dallas or a spa in the suburbs. That's just my 2c, but I hope it might be helpful.

TBH I'm not sure how serious OP was in posing this Q, but I would like to ask @Borisleblanc, if you are sincerely asking, what do you mean when you say that midtown spas are "very exposed and in very public and obvious areas"

-- exposed to who? (exposed to anyone who cares?, or just lots of people coming and going in the area?)

i mean,,,most of em are on 2nd floors of buildings with multiple businesses/residentials. none of them have "XXX adults only" signs" on the outside. although ive seen a couple with loud buzzers
