I did something last night that I have never done before in my whole life.
I was walking around Flushing scouting out Chinese restaurants, when I saw this woman (not a streetwalker) near You Garden Xiao Long Bao in the vestibule by the liquor store
She had the most beautiful eyes (Caucasian), and kissable lips.
She didn't make eye contact. But something about her that really drew me to her, so I double backed. She was talking to someone who, i could hear was talking to her about the Vietnam war.
Ok. Had to circle the block again. They were still talking. At least I made my step goal for the day.
He was doing all the talking. Older guy.
Circled again. Still talking. Dammit.
I bought something to eat and went to my air conditioned car to eat and cool off.
And I said to myself, write my name and number on a piece of paper and briefly interrupt them to give it to her (I used an alternate phone number and not my real name).
So brave as I was feeling, I went back. Full of confidence.
She was gone. Fuck.
Decided to walk around the block to look for her. One time. If not, then it wasn't meant to be.
Circled and then the crosswalk to go to my car.
And here she comes... Crossing towards me.
I stopped before crossing, and when she was across I gave her the piece of paper. She paused to look at it and i explained.
Thinking that would be it and if she called great. If not, if she was involved or didn't like what she saw.
But, she stopped. And we ended up talking for half an hour, despite me sweating like a dog from the humidity.
She would go into a store to get some napkins to dry my perspiration.
Found out she's never been married. No boyfriend. No kids. And she's Hispanic from the Dominican Republic.
I had to get back to my car before I got a ticket.
To be continued? I don't know.
