Greetings! First joined this site in 2020, right before all of our lives were turned upside down, so needless to say, have not taken the plunge for quite awhile. Fully vaxed now and contemplating a return to the game, but wanted to get a sense of how things are. For various reasons that I won't get into now, not a really big fan of AMPs......have tried them, sure, but feel they are just not for me. I prefer the 'All-American', or, to be more accurate about it, the non-AMP scene, and harken back to the glory days of the Harrisburg-Reading-Allentown network of MPs in the 1990s and early 2000s.......enjoyed a pretty good run even through about 2010, with Xstreams, Regency 3.0, or whatever iteration it was, Whirl-a-Sage, and even Spa 61 and Aavalon, but since then, pickings in this realm have been pretty slim. Tried some of the spots in SWB for awhile between 2014- 2016, and although many attractive attendants, service was so-so, especially in terms of enthusiasm and effort. Best experience in that area was probably the now-defunct Amystika.
I have perused some of the comments here about the remaining places and get the sense that the prospects are not too great, but did want to ask those who have been some questions, mainly about atmosphere and state of the talent, looks-wise. I will be glad to TOFFT and gather info on the rest, no problem. I don't live very close to a lot of these places, so the initial recon can be difficult, plus a lot of them now seem to keeping bankers hours (11-5, really??), which makes the logistics even more challenging. Boy do I miss the days of Xstreams, which I think was open until 2:30 AM on the weekends. You could get all of your work done during the day and still have plenty of time of scratch that itch. So for those of you who have been to any of the remaining places, like maybe Mystique in Allentown or Aavalon in Whitehall now, or the The Spa in Shavertown, or the Nuru Day Spa (or whatever it is these days....you know, the old Serenity, Tranquility, Sensations, and the Purple whatever, from way back):
1. Do you feel like the places are clean and attention is given to keeping a clean/safe environment?
2. How is the looks of the talent? Good, fair, or poor overall? I have seen some pretty good ones in recent years (Britney at Spa 61, Nikki at Spa 61, Paige at Whirl-a Sage, Megan and Carmen at Affinity in Tannersville, Kitty at XStreams, and Christina at The Spa in Shavertown, to name a few). Are we talking about anyone at that level or is it not as good?
So far, with the research I've done, I am contemplating maybe a session with Raine in Allentown or Heidi in Harrisburg, as both seem to have positive reviews, but wanted to get a sense of how the rest of it is on the non-AMP side, before I invest the time. Also, not a big fan of the appointment, because if something comes up at the last minute and you have to cancel, then it seems you lose points in their book. The 'pop-in' is my preferred method.
Bonus Round: Does anyone know if any of the ladies I mentioned above is still around anywhere? Would love especially to see Megan, Nikki or Britney again. I kind of remember that Megan tried to make a go of it at the new Affinity in Pocono Pines, but that place is long gone, too.
