Some good intel here. For all the new chaps thinking about that first "trip", the Amp scene is Alderaan & travel mongering is the Death Star. there's so many more dynamics to a "trip".

Once upon a time, on a trip to DR,
I texted an Uber to pick me up from the airport. The car arrives and i waive at it to let the driver know I'm the said passenger for pickup. The driver parks and pops the trunk in front of me & outta of the vehicle comes a pretty mid 20 yo Venezuelan woman with nice MMs to greet me and put my bag in her trunk. )More on that later)
I was pleasantly suprised. We talked & laughed on the way to my hotel. And upon arrival she asked if she can come up to my room to use the bathroom. I said sure. She's in there for a minute & I hear the shower running, then said to myself that, "it is sweltering outside" and chuckled. I hear the shower shut off, then she exits the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her. The towel drops & we proceed to heat up the frigid apartment. She was my first Uber driver.

The moral of my story is, the more research you do, the better your trip will be. And if it's your first time visiting to a country/city, try going there with a cool friend or friends that have been there before. Lack of intel will have you wasting time & money. Sound familiar? Stay safe fellas.

No LOL. She formed out of the fumes from the exhaust pipe like I Dream of Jeannie.

Not at all like the Uber drivers I got in the DR. They were mostly fat Dominicanos with BO and bad breath! One spoke "Spanish" so badly that even the airport guys couldn't speak to him. I think he just wanted the cancellation fee.
