If you land at SJO airport. Pass by , or stay close to HOTEL DEL REY. It about 25 min drive from airport. Big tacky pink colored hotel, can't miss it. It's basically a 24 hour brothel.
You can get a room there for short stay or a full week.
Multiple lobby areas, pool area, billiard room area, girls everywhere, all day , all night, pick one and have drinks or go straight to your room.
All though it is slow and more quiet during breakfast hours.
Some guys come down and. have breakfast with their girl who spent the night.
But you can also pick up one if you like having dessert before breakfast.
That's why it's better to have your actual room at another hotel close by.....you might have trouble catching zzzz's if you stay there.

You may want to consider Hotel Taormina and Hotel Santo Tomas. Both are in the heart of downtown. Taormina has a casino, I think, and a sports bar. It can get really loud but you don't hear it in your room. It is also chica friendly, in fact when the Sportsman's bar closes the girls go to Taormina. It is cheaper than the Sportsman's and maybe less than the Del Rey. The difference is that you cannot sleep at the Del Rey, that bar is pumping music all night long, the the lower end rooms at the Sportsman's ain't that great. The Santo Tomas is much cheaper, I have never stayed there, but I knew a lot of guys that did and they never complained. Costa Rica is like no other place, you are going to love it.
Both the girls at the Sportsmans's and the Del Rey will start at $100. You can get them down to almost half of that, but that is not something I like to do. To me it is an insignificant amount of money so I don't really want to negotiate. Other places can be a bit cheaper. What is funny is San Jose is the spot ... at least for me. But Jaco beach is more expensive.
Just my 2 cents, The actual bang-bang is about 30-60 minutes. If you do not know spanish then girls goes home. What else are you going to do there?
Because of that I like Sosua, DR. It's right on the ocean.
Also, there (and pretty much everywhere) day prices are cheaper than night prices. I usually collect whatsup # at night and enjoy my drinking, when i wake up i eat breakfast, go to the beach and contact the girl i wanted to bang. The only negative is that the girl might show up without make up. Might not look as hot as yesterday night. So just tell her that you want her to dress up and promise propina (tip).

Hotel Del Rey is closed and has been sold. Being converted to an executive business hotel. Best source for international mongering is www.internationalsexguide.nl. It is free and has very reliable information. I have used it for over 10 years for intel on many different destinations and regularly report on it when I travel abroad.
Jaco Beach is the place for me. Been down there for 3 bachelor parties at this point. The Cocal Hotel & Casino is where all the action takes place in Jaco.
I'd recommend staying somewhere close by and not at the Cocal itself if you're looking to get some sleep. The place is loud and raucous. Over 100 girls poolside to choose from. My first time down there I couldn't believe it. You're the meat at this market.....
If you're planning a trip with some friends I'd highly recommend jacovip.com. It's a great outfit ran by some expats. They'll arrange the whole trip for you (not the extracurriculars though). Pick you up from the airport, setup any daytime activities you'd like, go grocery shopping for you. They truly make it easy for you while living your best life. The houses they have in the portfolio are amazing as well.
Last trip in 2018, my friends and I stayed at the Villa across from the Cocal. Fun times had by all.
