My impression is that Lucy Lu is what white guys want in an Asian girl, whereas Asian guys seem to think she's just ok. Constance seems like a classy upscale girl to me, hardcore feminism notwithstanding.
Not to go too far off a tangent from Crazy Rich Asians, but has anyone seen Nick Golding's wife, Liv Lo Golding? She was part of the half Japanese model crowd in Tokyo that I tried to break into (and failed miserably at) before marrying Henry Golding and moving to Singapore to teach yoga, and now finally to LA with Henry. Even hotter to me was her best friend in Tokyo, Melody Yoko, who was insanely hot and the photos don't do her justice. First 3 pics are of Liv Lo, then Melody. Many guys have tried to make a run at one or both and the rejection body count was very high...

Agree here. And like 8 inches taller than Constance. With a British accent to boot. That lookalike hooker is gonna cost more than the Constance doppelganger.
FWIW, my sense from interviews is there nothing "hardcore" in Constance's feminism. It seems like fairly standard run of the mill feminism to me.

There’s two kinda of Asian attraction here. The yellow fever attraction and the native beauty attraction.
Constance Wu is up there with natural Asian beauty. Lucy Liu doesn’t fit normal beauty conventions in Asia. In fact she started her career modeling in Asian but obviously didn’t really break out and used it to boost her resume for the west. I would put her a little closer on the yellow fever attraction spectrum.
I’d love to see a new thread on this topic, coupled with publically accessible photo references. It would dive deeper into how some of you guys rate the providers too haha.
