I heard from May not too long ago. She is in the US, west of the Mississippi, but she plans to be back in the area in a couple of weeks or so.

I was waiting until my schedule allowed me to set up an appointment, so I haven't tried to contact CJ since the state allowed parlors and salons to reopen this week. It could be that management is just waiting a little longer to get ready for their restart. Anyway, I hope that is the case. I would hate to lose CJ permanently. It's a good little shop.

Quick update: Work took me through Salem County this morning. I didn't have time to stop anywhere, but I did a brief drive-by of the three spots I know of near the DMB. First, in Pennsville, the OPEN sign for CJ was not on and was covered with a piece of paper. No cars were in the lot behind the building. Next was H & J Spa, which is a couple of doors north of CJ. The OPEN sign there looked like it was lit. Finally, there is VIP Spa on 130 in Carneys Point. The OPEN sign was not lit and there were a bunch of trucks in the lot for the road work being done right in front of the shop.

I did this around 10:30-11:00, so it may have been a little early, but in the past, CJ has always been open, or at least answering the phone, by then. I will send a text and see if I get a response. I don't know H & J's or VIP's usual schedule, so I would think that calling ahead to those places would be the best bet.

Well, a text to CJ's number went unanswered, as did a couple of calls. Both times I called, the phone did ring a few times before going to VM, which generally means it's on and operational, but no one is answering or calling back. I guess we'll have to keep trying, at least until someone answers the phone or we see where May lands when she comes back.
