A provider I know well was working at a spa in Vermont. She was not working at the time but it was busted and owner arrested. I read the article from the Brattleboro newspaper and it stated investigation used reviews from websites to put the case together. We may be cutting off our supply by posting very detailed reviews. Just a thought.

You mean this? If you read the entire article, you see how they built their case. I’m pretty sure the surveillance and the actual police interviews of men leaving the joint contributed to the case more than any reviews. This all started with complaints from local businesses, residents and actual legit customers. Worth mentioning is that the Feds are involved and this case also had ties to a case in Alabama so chances are “quoting damages” and the usual acronyms of the day had very little to do with building this whole case. Reviews are just the icing on an already made cake.

Always a good idea to be cautious.

Always a good idea to follow board rules as best we can to that end, keeping everyone safe.

That being said, and im sure there are many here older and mongering for longer than i.. I've never heard of a site being instrumental in cracking a case. They use to verify, they use to confirm, but all inadmissible and irrelevant.

I know a couple actual cops that are patrons, we prolly have someone here and reviewing! They're not looking for this. Feds looking for trafficking and serious fed crimes, local pds, they go when called. You don't run a beat past these locations for a month or more and not know what's up.

Sites like this don't make or break an investigation, and they are not the key driver. But if you don't believe LEO visits sites like this for leads and intelligence, you are a fool. Look at some public search warrant affidavits.

Unless you're in a certain county in Florida, which makes a huge show of these arrests/stings to try to show how "effective" their sheriff is.

In general we do need to protect our providers and hobby, LE does use leads to investigate. Perhaps we should tone down to hints and PM for folks that are in need of more details. There has been a recent crackdown in Colorado Springs and Denver
