I was wondering if he was studying Cantonese.

I’m sure my Mandarin skills are pathetic compared to Lovemyspa’s but I did get a fair amount of practice at AMPs and I think it helped. Lessons can be expensive - might as well consolidate your services.

Its harder to find cantonese girls in this. They been in America longer and established themselves. The new wave of Chinese immigrants are more likely to come from other parts of China all whom speak Mandarin. You are really missing out since majority of the Chinese providers speak Mandarin.

If a woman is from the south she will be able to speak Cantonese and a local dialect as well. Also she will speak Mandarin as it is mandatory in all schools.

There are a couple of spas that are Cantonese speaking. They are of Hakka descent so Hakka is their primary language and Cantonese is a learned language. Another spa is Cantonese speaking. I remember in CT I ran into quite a few Cantonese speakers but that was a while ago. I believe the Toysonese in Guangdong were the first to come over. I’ve found that many more speak Cantonese that I originally thought. Even some native speaking mandarin providers, worked in Guangzhou or surrounding cities where they picked up Cantonese.
