Can anyone answer a question about 88th & Roosy for me?

Like many guys here, I've dabbled all up and down Roosevelt but I've been very leery about patronizing the spots just north of 88th Street because standing almost right next to the providers are these random fucking guys. I mean, just hanging out in cold weather with nowhere to be. Just looking around. One evening, it must have been about 30 degrees and the providers were all bundled up in their expensive goose down coats trying to work up some business and these dudes are just standing around like 5 feet from them just looking around and I'm wondering if they're working, if they're lurking...like what's their fucking deal? No one just chooses to loiter and hang out in freezing temperatures unless they've got some business going on.

Just wondering if anyone else knows.

I think half of them are just leering at the girls....checking to see if their legit. (if any johns walk out in cuffs)
And the other half are probably working.

When I pass by 88....some of them offer haircuts, etc.

It seems like girls don't mind but I'm sure they would if they knew how much business these clowns were scaring away.
