Don't kid yourself about these busts...............this is all about civil asset forfeiture and padding the budget. Maybe some of the trafficking stuff is legit but for the most part the govt at all levels hates being cut off from the cash flow via taxes, kickbacks, and fees. They could care less about the activities until they find PC for money laundering, and then they can seize every penny they find or can trace. It all gets rolled up through CAF and split to pad budgets.

The initial press releases about charges are just window dressing and top cover.

... how much does a "month's long" investigation cost? The manpower, the resources, the overtime, the prosecutors, the tax payer funded bjs etc.etc...probably Homeland and the Feds also contributed billable hours and for what? We all know that there's no trafficking or coercion involved and that ultimately all the accused will walk away or plead down to lesser charges..and all this over intimate activity between "consenting adults".. these guys are scraping the bottom of the barrel to justify there existence if that's the best they can come up with... makes you really respect Law Enforcement doesn't it.. the real Crime is that we pay these bums fat salaries and retirement packages to make fools of us like this.. and make salacious headlines for the media..win/win for the forces of " decency" and "civility".. such a joke..

That's why NYC is trying to look the other way. There are plans to introduce bills to decriminalize it, but unfortunately many of the latest influx of immigrants are actually walking the streets and soliciting minors which is getting police attention. Stupid behavior things it for everyone. Most of these girls are not trafficked, they come here to make money. Register them, test and tax them and collect the revenue from two consenting adults.

disagree. I feel safer when I see them because most of the time I am doing nothing wrong. MOST people I know feel the same way, and that includes brown people of all types.

anecdotal and small sample size makes this simply personal experience rather than an argument supporting an assertion. you should feel lucky, not feel like the barometer of public opinion.

Just a thought for you and Pigan. The dirty blanket that some use to cover all the police makes as much sense as saying all mongers are assholes because some of them are. (Example--I gave mongers the name of a great therapeutic masseuse noting there is nothing sexual and the assholes berate her and even threaten to show up and physically assault her---true JO's).
Instead of jumping on the police, look at the current idiots running the country and the ones in 08. Why do you think they are allowing the looting, rioting, carjackings murders etc? If they gain control of everything they will get rid of local and state police and bring in a National Police force. You want to see real police abuse, watch it happen then. This actually isn’t the same. The police actively work together as a system whereas mongers may share info but it’s not an organized system or structure.

Marlton police have 3 officers and I believe the chief in photos supporting the grand opening 2 years ago of one of the businesses the town makes the money the girls make the money and the cops go in and seize some back a happy ending for everybody

Separate subject I saw Doona who had 1 bad review and one good one that seemed to imply bbfs but I didn’t get the bbfs. I watch so many police interaction videos on YouTube and it really is 50/50 as to whether the cop is out of line or the subject deserves the arrest and cops did good. Trouble is; cops should be held to a much higher standard then them being wrong/corrupt/and violating a persons rights 50% of the time. A cops biggest weak spot is letting their ego and emotions dictate their actions on the job; Instead of upholding the constitution in a professional manner. Sadly cops screw up a good amount of the time.
