My only disagreement is with Bloomy. I think he is much more dangerous than you alluded to. He is at the forefront of the gun grabbing crowd which I think, shows his true colors. Throughout history every dictator has had to first disarm the population before they could seize power. As soon as they do, genocide follows.
"What the hell am I doing? I promised myself that I wouldn't post on another political thread."
Genocide, lol. You're comparing Bloomberg to Hitler? Dude you're eating too many retard sandwiches.

I think Bloomberg can easily out spend everyone else combined, and he's analytical enough to make an impact. Out of all the candidates I think he's the only one that can stand toe-to-toe in a debate against Trump. Not due to his smarts, but due to his NYC attitude. He's the one guy that can prove who has the bigger bank account.

That being said, I don't think he could win the nomination, or the election. I think Buttigieg is going to be the primary nominee, and it's going to throw this whole election into a tizzy. Trump will turn-up the homophobic rhetoric and it's going to get ugly.
Ever watch him debate? Not all that quick on his feet and is rather underwhelming.

hard to imagine Dems back Bloomberg, after all he is worth 62+ billion so how do they bow down to all the far left talking points about the top 1% ? Very hard to imagine someone like Bernie as President as well, he is just so far out there.... Biden looks like he may be toast already, and the rest of the pack isn't really even worth talking about. It's really too bad the talented people in our country don't get involved with politics, can't blame them but then you end up with a field of clowns like there is now.
The whole process has all the makings of a train wreck. A socialist on one end, a jewish billionaire from NY that made his $$$ on Wall Street on the other and a gay mayor in the middle. That party will be completely fractured by the end of summer.

I see this thread turning for the worse as the anti Trump liberal whackos are coming out, so I will just leave there. I don't wish to be banned from the site and appreciate what it is meant to be..... So peace out why it's all good.

just curious, what policy exactly has the President implemented or talked about implementing that deals with sending all asian girls back to Asia ? Seriously, don't just make things up....
You’re just not paying attention.

I actually made my comment tongue-in-cheek, but if you really don’t get what he and Miller are shooting for, here are a couple of things just off the top of my head.

For starters, there is the attack on family migration, pejoratively called “chain migration”. Most migrating Asian women that I know come from Asia leaving a son or daughter behind for the express purpose of improving their lives to the point that they can bring their family over. The ban on bringing family members to America effectively ends the “American Dream”, whatever is left of that, for a huge fraction of immigrating women.

Then there is the proposal to change the lottery immigration system to a so-called “merit system”. That’s just camouflage for stating what they really mean, which is wealthy, white, educated Europeans.

Consider the effort to eliminate or greatly curtail American participation in political asylum. Most of my Chinese friends are here as political asylees. They follow the rules, get working cards, pay taxes, stand in line with every other immigrant, and then one day, maybe after five years or so, they have their case heard and get a green card. The president wants to limit that and further prevent asylees from integrating into American life until having a hearing. Again, he pejoratively frames the argument with a sound bite catch phrase like “catch and release”.

How about the recently proposed change to the immigration rules requiring immigrants to be able to demonstrate self sufficiency before entry? Using social safety nets like Medicaid or any public assistance automatically disqualifies an immigrant from citizenship. Almost everyone who comes to America looking for political or personal asylum is going to need assistance to get on their feet. It’s peanuts compared to what the average immigrant repays the country in taxes and contributions to the economy.

I have to think that half of the coal miners in West Virginia need to avail themselves of public help. Should they also forfeit the right to citizenship?

And the biggest proposed affront to immigrants and American citizens in general is the idea that somehow he can end by Executive Order the constitutionally guaranteed birthright citizenship. That is so outrageous it should make everyone shudder.

There are countless other examples of his assault on immigrants, not the least the family separation policy. I will pejoratively call that “babies in cages”, because that is exactly what it is.

Seriously, I’m not just making things up. Pay attention. No one is going to announce that America is going to change overnight, as a step function, into a hostile land for all people not like us. It’s just going to be a slow linear decline into oblivion and irrelevance. It will be chinese Ling Chi-death by a thousand cuts.

Many trumpers failed history. I think they want to repeat it.
