May be an overly discussed subject but not seeing information in one place.

What’s the collective research on spas or providers that

- check vaccination records
- insure that staff is vaccinated
- do any sort of testing
- maintain strong protocols.

The Russian places all say “all girls vaccinated” but that doesn’t mean much. Even low volume indie info would be good to know. All levels of service.

Things may be getting better but trust me it’s still a mess out there.

Personal experience is thus… you might get a temp check with a gun anyone can get on Amazon, but beyond that, they’ll ask you to where used slippers and remove your sneakers or shoes or sometimes spray them with alcohol. I’d stopped them from doing that walked numerous times saying no one is ruining my shoes. Otherwise that’s about it. Table linens changed at very few spots, mongers walk in with masks but once you’re on the table usually off they come unless directed to keep it on, service providers, usually the younger ones, remain masked unless they know you, or are really vaccinated. As far as asking anyone working about vaccines used by staff, unless you have been there several times or have a relationship with a provider I’d wouldn’t ask. If I have a favorite and suddenly she’s back in China for a month usually means she got sick from COVID IMO, this goes for nyc and northern New Jersey.

If you can help yourself, wait a month. Omicron is wiping out delta and creating herd immunity in the usa. In fact delta is pretty much done!

It has been posited that one reason the usa is doing so well with covid right now as we talk is that all the anti-vaxxing idiots(my words) have created a situation wherein we are well ahead of Europe and other countries in herd immunity.

I have seen the graphs provided by the NYT and our great city is doing fucking GREAT. Granted, the usa is behind in testing so the numbers are lower than Europe, nonetheless a few weeks to a month might actually do the trick.
