Being Priced Out of the Market

Friends, is it me -- or has the last few years seen a dramatic shift in rates? I have been a proud member of the hobby since 1998, so I've seen the ads and platforms and girls come and go. I used to rely a lot on TER, but now when I go there, every review seems to start for someone @ 5.0 (or at least 4.5). I have tried Tryst, but the donations are insane. And there are a lot of other platforms out there (often seen on TER reviews) that are like I have walked into the high-roller room in Vegas. Of course, the amps are usually reasonable, but even some of those places start at 3.4 or 3.6 for the hour.

Is it me? I'm beginning to think about early retirement and leaving the hobby to the young ballers, lol.

Go international take a trip to Colombia or the DR and just ball out for a week. In Bogota girls can go for an hour for $60

I agree. I have seen the trend. It comes down to what the market can sustain. Covid drove the competition down so the demand exceeds the supply. Maybe in a few years, prices will stabilize as more providers become available.

Btw, Spain is an often overlooked destination. It is legal and has one of the highest ratio of providers. Great deals can be found for $30-$50 a pop. Also great tapas.

You must also consider the risk of this hobby. As a woman, do you really want to expose yourself only to men who can afford the lower range?
I know I would rather spend one hour with a well groomed and put together person for $1000 than see 10 people for $100 a pop.

It’s just supply and demand. The only way prices go back down is if demand drops for the high priced services. Vote with your feet.

If it was just that easy for everyone to take a hiatus lol. I actually cut down my annual visits to compensate for the higher rates, but I ensure that whoever I see is really worth it. KG usually has a stellar lineup, but Gisella has been my go-to in the last year (with a few visits to Hara or to another place). But just like a previous poster said girls would rather get $1k from a "well groomed" guy vs 10 visits for $100 for someone else,.. I think I'd rather spend $400 for someone really hot with great service than less for a so-so experience.

I've been in the hobby since 2019, I'm a relative rookie. Prices for a la carte spots seem to have gone up by about 20-25% in that time, and all in one pricing spots have gone up by about 33-50% in that time.

For most of my brief career, I've focused on the a la carte spots, but in the past year I've expanded to the all in one spots due to lack of free time.

The good news is that there are still places you can have GFE for between $180 - $240.

On the lower end at the HF spots, you'll have to do a lot of legwork, TOFTTs and repeat visits to build rapport with a "HE only" provider, but these are the most fulfilling. Understand that these ladies will be in their 40s or 50s.

The all in one spots are also hit or miss, you have to go on reviews or just TOFTT (and be prepared to walk), but when it's a hit, it could be legit late-20s Japanese provider with fantastic service for $220 for HH (and multiple pops, shh don't tell MMS). Fact is I'm mostly a one pop guy these days, and even when I'm not, the first one is a lot more satisfying, so I'm content limiting myself to HH sessions, stand up shower only.

Wasn't around for the golden era of abundant and affordable K talent, and Covid hit my first year in the hobby, but from my vantage point, the hobby is the best it's ever been with the abundant Japanese talent at 10Ten, NYCSE, XOXO, PP, etc.

They're not though.
The higher the price the fewer customers.
A few years ago I had a regular who started with BDJ for 400/hr.
Then she went indy at 700/hr.
She saw fewer clients and actually made less money than with the agency.
Which she was fine with and what she wanted. To not have to see a boatload of clients every day.

It's certainly better now, but nowhere near the best.
The best was when agencies like Aphrodite Companions routinely had 20 y/o blonds from the midwest touring here every week.

Or back in the 90s and early 2000s when ALL the incall shops in Manhattan had 18-25 y/o American girls.

Yeah, implication was that it was the best it's ever been since I've been in the hobby, which is only since 2019.

Also, I'm only about the Asians, at least in terms of pros.

damn now a decent looking white girl is minimum 700 an hour. we need more of the midwest southern white girls here in the northeast.
