I’ve had more than one occasion where I’ve been walking to a room and after passing someone who seemed a little to close to the room or a tinted car waiting in the parking lot across the street I just kept it moving and went down that hallway to the other side of the building, back to my car. Instinct comes in handy in this enterprise, listen to it.

Like GreenFan, I have walked away from hotel meetings several times when something just didn't seem quite right and like Orwell I always leave a note saying where I was going just in case. Yes, I live alone, but you can always leave at least something that would give a clue.

Maybe he was new. I know in my early days I've put myself in some questionable situations where I was actually nervous. Liveescortreviews days lol. There was a girl I visited in bucks county at a shady motel and someone ended up banging on the door trying to get in. We waited it out and we were good but it wasn't fun. She was sweet but in a bad situation in life. I actually think I read on another board that she's no longer with us. Back then I didn't know all these resources were out there for us. I'm sure I'm not the only one to be this dumb in the group, but this story makes me realize I got pretty lucky with my early day ignorance.
