As you know NJ would tax the air that you breath if they had a way to do it, problem is no politician in Trenton wants to be the one to introduce a bill for legalization/decriminalization of prostitution. There's just too much downside for introducing that kind of legislation, it would basically be political suicide to bring it up. These people in Trenton have a cushy lifestyle and aren't willing to risk throwing that out over mongers and providers. They want their votes and donations from the churchy people and just keep the status quo of being 'outraged' over sex crimes and human trafficking.
It took us way too long to get marijuana and sports betting legalized but weed and gambling are not sex, its just an uncomfortable topic most wont touch with a 10 ft. pole. I don't think we will ever see it happen in NJ in our lifetimes

…I respectfully beg to differ.. I believe that sex work will slowly be decriminalized like it’s being done in NYC and a few other major Cities that have figured out that it’s a waste of time, money and Court resources for very little return I on prosecutions of victimless crime..
