To my Manhattan-only friends......I ventured to Flushing! (Technically, past Flushing). Granted this was a more budget experience, not the high-level stuff that's out there. But if you feel like you know my stuff well enough to calibrate your expectations, well, here you are:

Fair, but for the record, it's really Murray Hill, so 22-23 minutes on LIRR from Penn or Grand Central.
For the busy Manhattan executive who does NOT live in Long Island, you really only do this as part of a larger package of activity that includes eating, perhaps shopping, maybe a Mets game or tennis, etc. I recommend girls first, then eating. Your local hostess may have her own recommendations. Doh! I forgot to ask them theirs!

It is a bus that is cheap that takes you from Chinatown back and forth to Queens. I have never taken it but some of the girls have told me about it. You will probably stick out like a sore thumb on it.

I didn’t know I was Flushing curious (only bi-curious) but I schlepped out to Flushing yesterday and it was a trip.

The fact that they're able to do that says a lot about the scene overall in Flushing. If there are a number of other options, you price accordingly. No one in Manhattan would be able to do that because the customer would walk out.
