Its not a one day celebration. The full festival is last for 15 days. How long they spend they celebrate it depends. Government and big companies will be off officially for 1 week. However people tend to take time off during this period like with Christmas.

And a lot of people travel long distances to be with family. It is the busiest travel season of the year in China.

I tried to see her earlier today but she had a customer. She said she is free the rest of the evening but I can't go due to prior commitment.
