Hey guys seems lots of amps in AC in particular are in bad neighborhoods. Every wonder why? Do you avoid some because of that? Thanks

Amps usually are in lower middle class areas, AC is an exception. Poor towns, people can’t afford massages, wealthy towns won’t allow them. At least I’m NJ, that’s been what I’ve seen. There may be some exceptions besides AC.

If your uncomfortable- just go to a casino closest to the amp and Uber to and from. They are all so close, it would only be like $8 at the most.
I live in a nice area in sj but I don’t get worried walking around ac. Never had an issue

During the shut down of the casinos for the Plandemic things were pretty shady. I often stay in AC for days or weeks at a time. One late afternoon mid week around 5pm I decided to jog on the boardwalk from down around Stockton up to where showboat used to be and back. The boardwalk was pretty sketchy on the way up so I decided to jog back on Pacific. There were no cars on pacific the entire time I was there which was only 3 blocks. In that 3 blocks I saw groups of local talent hiding around corners waiting for anyone to come down a side street. I saw one young BM crossing pacific towards the boards get jumped by 3 slightly older BMs coming from 2 different directions. He managed to take off toward the boardwalk after taking a few punches. I was still about 2.5 blocks away while witnessing this. I looked a block ahead of where I was and saw another set up of guys waiting around corners. If I had not noticed the guy further away getting jumped I probably would not have noticed the setup I was about to jog into. At this point I felt it would be safer to go to boards and jog back. On the boards by chance the person I saw being jumped was looking for anyone with a phone, not many people were on the boards and those were mainly drunk , homeless or both. The young man maybe 22-23 told me his story of the assault stopping only after he lost his phone and wallet, I called the cops for him per his request. So do I think the neighborhoods up there are safe late at night on foot? I would not consider it safe at all! I admit I have walked the area uptown in the massage district late at night but have always felt I would need to be mentally prepared for hostiles to be incoming at any moment. Be safe
