Yes but it was while on vacation. If local, I rather save the money. For SA, I used hotel tonight since it's cleaner and more "upscale" than going to someone's house where they can have exterior cameras. Hotels have camera's too but they're not gonna look at them unless there is an issue.

I’m done with Airbnb. Too much BS. Too many hoops to jump through.
For example, you have to list every guest and their info. If you get caught with an unregistered guest, you are in breach of contract. Hotels exist for a reason. Everyone wanted to get rich on running their own little hotels, and that era is over.

Is hotel tonight better than the other apps? I’ve never used it.

AirBnB is going down faster than an AMP Girl for an extra $20. It kinda had a purpose during the pandemic, but people are going back to hotels. I constantly hear horror stories about AirBnB. Lot of cities are essentially making it illegal also. It’s just unregulated hotels.

yeah, there was one in our town that is a huge house that was rented for weekend parties in which there would be over a 100 people there, DJ, loud cars, etc, and people from all over the place coming to crash it and it would go on until 4am. The police were called almost every saturday night. The town got smart and started to ticket/fine the homeowner was was renting it out (rich dude that moved to another town and left the house as is so he could rent it out and make some easy cash) and they kept increasing the fines and he went to court to fight it and lost big time. He then sold the house. Still made a killing. But yeah, most people who rent out their homes through the service are ok, don't have cameras and are just trying to make some extra money but some are not and it IS totally un-regulated until shit happens like in our town with that one house. I am sure there are others nearby, but they stay under the radar and don't have people who rent them throw wild parties.

And it would be another reason pulling down real estate business once something triggers the value of investment property negatively.

I have used AirBnb's with SA hookups very successfully. I got friendly with 2 of the hosts and worked out a cash deal off the books. No hotel lobby, no credit card, perfect.
