Recalling some of the oddest gifts bestowed on these providers by other mongers. No, I don’t mean designer clothing, bags, jewelry, flowers, or sweets.
I just visit these ladies and give cash, which is king!
Some of these odd gifts given by other mongers - I've often coveted or benefited.
* Traeger smoker - insane. It was shipped to the provider and the provider gave it to me out of sheer size of the item. Glad I still had my truck . Brisket and ribs never tasted so good.
* Hibachi grill - provider was a great cook.
*George Forman grill - the one with a fancy stand.
*Air fryer -
*Sewing machine - $1,500. Professional grade. I did not know it could cost this much.
*Heavy duty, popcorn maker: similar to the ones you see at an amusement parks.
*Pasta Maker - with all the attachments.
*Electronic keyboard with stand- the provider didn’t even know how to play any instruments let alone read music.
*car - (about 6 years ago) the provider didn’t even know how to drive. I wonder who paid for insurance, registration, and storage.
Mongers be sensible and but don’t ask for the gifts back. I've heard stories where the mongers asked for bags, fur coats, and cash gifts ($7,500 or more) back because they regretted their gift.
Have fun out there and treat the ladies with respect.
