why didn't you go in and then discuss inside? If anything, you can always walk out. I noticed many of them are not too eager to discuss in the open, but once inside it is safer and more comfortable for them, so it is either yes or no at that point. If no, just walk out, but at least you know then.

That's exactly right. Going up to the girl with a translation isn't the way to go, especially if it's explicit in any way. That smacks of LE.
If you don't know the lady before hand, the best way is to hang out in view of the girl. If you are sure you want to go with her, make eye contact. Usually that's enough for her to come over. "Massageee?" Even if she doesn't, she'll know you are checking her out, so when you go over to her, it will seem more natural.
If she comes to you, you can say "how much?" But not anything more than that. Don't discuss services. You have to be coy about it. the vibe is, "yes, I'm considering it, but I'm not totally ready to go right now." You don't have to actually say that. I usually say, "maybe later" if I don't want to agree. Look pleasant and interested but be cool. Half the time they will go down in price. If they don't, you just go on to the next.
