Liquidating to monger abroad

A lot of guys end up in the Philippines, probably due to English being widely spoken there. I used to work with a guy that planned to liquid everything and retire to the Philippines. He was really serious about it. On the surface it seemed like a reasonable plan, and I think it does work for some guys but there are a lot of factors to consider. If you are going to move to another country just to monger, that could get old after 6 months or a year. Personally, after a week of mongering overseas I am ready for a break, and it starts to get a little routine after a while. If you are going with the intent of finding real relationships with women in these countries, that can certainly work but you have to keep in mind "women are women" everywhere in the world. There are going to be certain challenges with any "real" relationship involving guys in there 50s/60s/70s and women in there 20s/30s from different cultural, educational, economic, etc. backgrounds. I also think you also have to ask yourself, like anyone retiring, what am I going to do all day, 7 days a week? Do you have other interests and hobbies that can fill the time? These are just all considerations if you are really thinking about permanently moving to another country. Personally, I like the idea of keeping a place in the US and traveling to a great location (Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, etc.) once a quarter. It gives you something to look forward to and it also keeps it from getting routine.

This consideration of what to do the rest of the time, along with things like quality of life, weather, medical care, led me choose Korea. I currently have houses in both Korea and USA and will eventually sell in USA when I retire.
Southeast Asia is the best mongering scene (Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam) for me, but it’s mostly too hot for me there. I’d prefer to be able to take a short flight in and go often. And South Korea is a vast improvement for mongering over the USA. In all these countries, particularly Thailand, there’s little issues that arise with a 60 year old guy, being out and about with a 20 something girl.
as to liquidating assets, it was surprisingly cheap to get a car (I have one I love too much) and a container shipped over. So for me it was more like discarding junk.
I know a couple guys that have moved to Costa Rica and that’s a good choice too. But I really want to travel Asia.

Florida for me.
Hot young American girls with lots of issues and low expectations. I figure, why wait for them to "tour" in NY when I can go to the source? Whoop de do!!!

Also, as far as what to do? Exercise! Stay as young looking and fit as possible as long as possible. And in Florida, I can take my daily long walks in Winter without loading up on the chapstick.
Plus add swimming to the rotation. And now that remote work has become the norm, I suppose I can take contracts now and then if I start "missing work" (not likely) or want some extra mongering cash.

I won’t even monger in Florida anymore with all the hostile sheriffs and crazy laws. But to each his own. You know about floridaman , right? Monitor that? And you still want to go?

I think the appeal of moving oversees to monger is quality and cost. For example, if you lived in Sao Paulo Brazil you could bang a hot woman for 250R (~$50). In the US, it would cost $300, possibly more. So it costs 6x at much, all else being equal. If you went every day in Brazil (365 days) it would cost $18,250 over the course of a year. In the U.S. it would be $109,000. That is the appeal from a strictly a mongering standpoint. If you lived in a place like NYC and money was no object you could find the same quality of women as you could anywhere but unless you are in the top .01% it is cost prohibitive to go that often.

I got rid of just about everything, sold the house, etc. Moved to the southern US, primarily to escape the winters up north.

When you get to a certain age, good to travel light. I do not own a home. I lease a car. I live light and do not feel shackled to anything. I may eventually go to New Mexico.

I have heard good things about Panama from a fellow monger. He has the hotties there all over him for his money, but hey, he is going out with a big smile.

I don’t recommend selling your assets and moving to another country solely to monger. Like DS71 has said, it will become routine after a while.

Language barrier, culture shock, lots of paperwork (especially in Korea), fitting in (you need to know the right people), finances (living overseas is not cheap), etc.
Exactly. And this is why, personally, I couldn't see myself doing it. The quality, cost, and variety of women (entire combination) is so much better in certain parts of the world then the USA. But for the rest of life, I am not sure it is that much better. I am used to life in the USA, I speak the language, have family here, etc.

I didn’t find the paperwork/process difficult at all in Korea. It would have been a lot harder to move to Japan , Taiwan or Singapore, about the same for Thailand. The only surprise for me was the requirement to bring all your stuff in in the first 6 months to avoid customs taxes on things you already own.
As to fitting in, not much trouble. I speak Korean, but you can get by very well in Seoul just speaking English. There’s tons of Americans in Seoul now too, if you to be in an ex-pat community (I don’t).

South Florida is where it's at. Not sure what you're reading or seeing, but you can hobby with some great South American ladies down here, unless you only want Asian, and without any issues, unless you create them. Also, if you want, short flights to the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and other South American countries. Compared to NJ, the costs of some things are higher, like food and car insurance, especially if you live in a flood zone. Property taxes are cheap, and despite a couple of cold spots we had in the end of January, the weather is fine.

I meant paperwork in general.

Taxes in Korea is another story. smh.

I like young blondes with daddy issues and warm weather. The mongering will be a little different than here. Sticking with girls I know from up here and their friends they can hook me up with. And probably going the SA route, as I've been told it's much easier down there. I believe I'd have much better luck on SA in Florida with 19 yos tired of a Walmart job and a fat supervisor hitting on her than a 24 yo trading assistant with an MA from Columbia...

How are you with tramp stamps, crack heads, and makeup applied with trowels? Just kidding, if you find it enticing then go for it. I prefer the tastefully done, surgically enhanced and mostly unmarried girls of Seoul. The food is better too, unless you like gator and deep fat fried foods.

I agree that if you move there just to monger, it gets old. I have friends and family there already. My best friend is married to a Thai and they’re constantly trying to hook me up with her best friend. It wouldn’t be hard as she’s stunning, but I would like to stay single for a while with no responsibilities. I’ve lived there before. I was stationed north and south in ‘73 and again briefly in May of ‘75. I’ve always loved the country and people. I have enough outside interests to keep me busy. I also have friends in Mexico near Guadalajara so I imagine I’ll move back and forth and visit my family here in the interim. I’ll live out of a suitcase. Simple and fluid.

I think if you want to move to Southern Asia you have to consider STDs have a higher prevalence in those countries. A lot of antibiotic resistant bacteria there too.
