Growing up as a kid in Brooklyn, NY, I would be waiting for the Mr. Softee ice cream truck to get the banana split ice cream bowl with the chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup and crushed pineapples as toppings. Also, back in the days in Manhattan, there was an ice cream based restaurant called Swensen's. They have that natural vanilla ice cream, yellowish, buttery and you can see the specks of the vanilla seeds. It was delicious. My favorite ice cream is rum raisin and I top it with Captain Morgan spiced rum.
