I go back and forth on this issue sometimes. In many ways, I don't disagree with you. On the other hand, if you think about it, a wife currently has a "monopoly" on her husband (or at least she thinks it does). To a large degree, this allows the wife to act like a corporate monopoly (dictate terms, take customers for granted, etc.). However, if you introduce competition into the equation, things might change. Wives would now be competing with one another for the husband's affection, attention and resources. It would definitely cost more & increase stress, but also put the husband in the catbird seat. Wives could also support each other and distribute the workload with regard to housework, child care and sex. I think that uber rich guys could definitely handle polygamy. In modern society (with many men shunning marriage), I really don't see why polygamy should be illegal.
I understand the motivation for wanting 20 year olds. However, don't underestimate Asian women in their 30s, 40s and even early 50s. After 45 they are not as easy on the eyes, but they are usually still in good shape, very skilled and sometimes insatiable.
