Last night I made a trip to YS, since I always have a good time there. My appointment was for 9. I got out at 10. Butler PD was perched on a hill between YS and the adjacent lot. I pulled out and made a right until I got to the U-turn and started back on 23S. BPD followed me for a quarter mile then pulled me over and asked me for my license, reg and ins. He asked me if I knew why he pulled me over. I said: "No clue." He gave me some BS about my lights being OFF when I passed him originally whaich was not true. He shined the light in my eyes, asked me what I was doing there. Told them I was there for a massage. He took my docs back to his cruiser and then said I was free to go and told me to have a safe trip home. I've been going there for 5+ years and that was a first for me.

Many thanks for the intel. Haven’t been there in awhile but have seen BPD in the vicinity. Was never clear if for that spot or it’s just a decent spot on 23 to catch speeders.

You handle it well but…it’s not what you think…most likely either you or your car probably match a description of a suspect they are looking for..anytime you get pulled over a “bullshit reason” the mostly reason is what I just said. You just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time lol

You can also tell them you wanted to go to Massage Envy but they weren't open or didn't have availability and went to this place. Nothing special. Just make sure you know where the closest Massage Envy is so you sound more credible...

Sounds like a fishing expedition for DUI/DWI to me. His BS excuse for probable cause for the initial stop was just to get a reason to check your info, look in your eyes, and get a whiff of the inside of the vehicle for odor of weed or alcohol. Maybe a quick flashlight look for "in plain sight" evidence................ Coupled with location and time of day.

I had a Mahwah cop do that to me a few times cutting down a backroad to 287. Best part was after the one stop was done before I left I told him he had a headlight out and might want to report it to maint before he pulls someone else over for the same thing.......................

But without question my absolute favorite was getting pulled on 287 at 2:30am on the Wanaque bridge by a Passaic County Sheriffs Officer. I was the ONLY car on the road, was only doing 5-10 over and his lights came on the second I came into is view. He asked "know why I pulled you over" and I answered "Because it is 2:30am, you just finished your coffee, and I was the first car you saw in the last 15min.". He laughed. Then he asked why I seemed "tired" and I said I just got one of the best blow jobs of my life from my gf that I just dropped off. He laughed again, checked my documents, and said "Hope the rest of your night is as good the beginning of it." and off I went.

I don't give a shit what he thinks of me going to YS. Getting a massage there is legal and good luck with anyone proving, after the fact, that anything else happened there.
