Who's taking new customers?

I'm making a visit to NYC towards the end of the month. I'm looking into places like nyaf, kg, ddy (I welcome any other recommendations too)

Since it's been a while since my last trip, I don't have any "credentials" or current amps that can voucher for me, so I'm basically starting as a new customer for most of these places.
Ive read that due to recent incidents, some places are only accepting "regulars".

Basically, what I'm asking if you guys know which places will be accepting of a new customer?

The new place cupcakes was asking me for ID. Read the couple of reviews posted here though to see if you still wanna go.
