And Keens has whisky "Flights" with half pours of 4 different whiskies.
And little known, but you can make up your own flights as well.
And many years ago i asked them to bring me a cream pitcher, that is used for coffee, but to put cold water in it instead, so I can put in a few drops of water until I get the whisky just how I like it. They now do this for anyone who asks.

They have an excellent extra aged tomahawk rib steaks Porterhouse
The last time I was there with a beautiful independent Korean girl who I had done some work for.
There was a 50 something mom at the next table with her 20 something son, looking at us with distain thinking my young date may have been an escort. I thought the mom would faint when my date asked for and paid the Chevy with hundred dollar bills! LOL

Another vote for Luger.

I don’t know how someone can say that Luger is overrated, and then recommend Wolfgang’s, when Wolfgang’s is a Luger spin-off (founded by Luger employees), only with higher prices.

Never liked Wolfgang’s...rather go to Delmonicos.

Agree with general consensus, the steaks at these high end steakhouses are overrated but we’re paying for the experience of eating out and my vote goes to old homestead. If It’s just about the steak I would pick up a piece of A5 Wagyu sear it myself and enjoy at home.

Not Luger’s that’s for sure...

Delmonico’s or Quality Italian perhaps? I like Strip House, but have only been once and enjoyed the bone in rib eye! Wolfgang’s I enjoyed and didn’t find it pretentious...

Keens I think is also better than Peter Lugers, and it filled with a lot of history. The original AMPReviews or Spahunters... with Mr. J P Morgan or Teddy Roosevelt themselves gracing those halls!
Quality Meats hands down is the best in the city-

I usually go to Costco to buy those restaurant quality steaks and cook it myself to save money so I can go to amps. Some of the steaks at Costco is almost 2 inches thick and between 8.99 to 10.99 a pound.

There's a new place on 58th between 6th and 7th, Tuscany Steakhouse. Opened about a year ago. Used to be Nino's Tuscany, but now new owner, new menu. New York strip on the bone is amazing- comes out sizzling on a piping hot plate. The ribeye is great - I get it blackened. Great chicken parm too.
