Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year.

I'm looking for travel advice from everyone here. My ATF has been itching to go on a vacation with me, she even said she would split the cost. The only thing is she doesn't have a passport, she's not a US citizen.

I've been doing some light research here and there, and I can't seem to find any all inclusive resorts in the US, so I'm assuming there are none. Checked a few other places, and going there is not a problem, but coming back would be a problem as she would have to pass through Customs.

Anyone have any suggestions, on nice places to travel to in the US for non US citizens.

If all else fails, I'm thinking of Hawaii.

Better check if she has any us documentations also. I have a girl in the same situation. Not only does she not have a up to date visitors visa, she has absolutely no US documentation. She can't even buy a plane ticket to travel within the country because she has no valid ID.

If she has a green card, you can take her to most places in Caribbeans without applying for a visa. If she does not have a green card, then you are limited to the US. You can rent an RV and visit national parks. There are some all-inclusive resorts in Key West if you just want beach and relax.

Thanks for the great ideas.

She doesn't have a green card, all she has is a driver's license.

I'm not 100% sure, I think coming back from Puerto Rico we would have to pass through Customs, can anyone confirm?

Might just have to stay local, if all else fails.

Without a green card, I would remain in the mainland.
I goggled this:
If your driver's license or government-issued ID isn't a Real ID, then you'll need your passport to travel to both Puerto Rico and other states of the United States.Dec 20, 2022

The Real ID requirement for travel has been extended to May of 2025. You should keep it to the 50 states to avoid any issues.

Well, customs is different, and yes I think there is an Agricultural inspection similar to Hawaii.

There isn't immigration for US Citizens and Permanent Residents. They are able to enter and leave with a state issued ID. Foreigners may require a visa. Technically her state ID would work but I've no idea if certain drivers license numbers indicate US citizenship status. I doubt it, but I simply don't know.

Sounds like it's a safer bet to avoid Puerto Rico.

I just got back from Hawaii, and I've traveled with providers with drivers licenses there before. It's an easy flight from the west coast but much longer from the east. Maybe you should factor that into your decision. Miami is great for the east coast.

Best of luck and have a great time!

You didn't mention your budget or the type of non-BCD activities you are looking for. But here are a couple of different type suggestions:
1. Alaska cruise departing from Seattle.
2. Various west coast river and coastal cruises departing from Seattle, Portland, or San Fransisco.
3. Middle America River cruises (Mississippi, Ohio or Tennessee).
4. East coast coastal cruise departing from Boston, New York, Jacksonville,or Baltimore.
5. An organized tour where the organizer books you into one or more hotels and also books independent tours. May also organize meals. Will also arrange various modes of transportation.

Option one will have the widest price range with option 5 being the next lowest price range. Some of these will have active life styles such as snorkeling, or bicycling. All will have walking tours if desired. some will have wine tour options.

Most Great Lakes tours also have stops in Canada.

Assuming that your GF lives in Flushing you probably are on the East Coast which makes Miami your easiest and best bet travel wise and for the choice of adult activities available there. I think the cruise idea might not be as intimate or romantic as a 5 star hotel suite and the night life around South Beach.

Most if not all cruise ships must sail to a foreign port or else they are in violation of the Jones Act. Under the Jones Act only US flag ships can conduct interstate commerce.
So if your lady friend does not have a green card, Do Not Book A Cruise.
However you could go to Disney and do the Pirate of the Caribbean ride.
