Wait. Are you actually acknowledging that Women, before they even have the right to vote, actually had enough power to pass an Amendment to the US Constitution? So it's not a modern phenomenon after all?
Like I said the other day, it's been a slow creep.

But really, my point (which was on topic) was that it is not just religious zealots that cheer these police actions that annoy us so much.
It is also the radical feminists.
And both have strong political clout.

Yes, but you meant the Men in office. Sounded like the women had the power all along, but just not official political recognition.

Yes they do. So let's see who has more. Men with a desire to see decriminalization, or them.

Who did you think started the whole "Moral Turpitude" BS. Even got an Amendment passed that was so unpopular, and made so many criminals rich, that it was repealed with another Amendment.
Fire and Brimstone, bible thumping Preacher.
Or Gloria Steinem man-hating feminist guru.
Both those types and their followers hate what we do.
I tried to carefully word my comment to avoid digressing. Yes, in my mind BOTH those groups are moralizing, and both are preaching the same oppressive, big brother perspective on this topic. Though they will both adamantly shout they don't agree with the other side on anything, even this.

This is the sane and rational thing to do, but unfortunately there are too many moralists who are shocked if other people have consensual enjoyment their preacher tells them they should be shocked about.
It’s funny how politicians in Washington are busy banning prostitution when there’s probably not a single one of them who’s not engaging with prostitutes and Mistresses while they’re in DC away from their spouses

Oh, and does anyone remember how NY AG Elliot Spitzer was going aggressively against prostitution? Hmmm

Well, they've been sovereign since 1955. If they can't change their low-level laws after all this time, it's their own damn fault. Beside, BJ bars sound pretty indecent to me. But then Japan is full of paradoxes. Never been there, but you can tell from watching Japanese porn. They have a weird fetish about fucking their best friend's wives behind their backs. Contrast that with the vaunted Japanese principles of honor and harmony.
The Japanese porn (pixelation aside) is really strange to me. It seems to have a great deal of content that portrays a sense of male superiority over over the female. A classroom where the male students "do" the female teacher; A lot of gang facials (bukkake); the school girl uniformed female taking on a group; the weather girl or newscaster being group facialized while on camera and continuing to broadcast. I guess it is a societal/cultural reflection. Some of it can be pretty hot, but it is a bit strange.

That is because, regardless of political affiliation or ideology, they are all whores.

And Ria Sakurai excelled in this genre.

The stuff about Japanese porn I hate, is all the business of tying up girls, getting them heated up, then playing with toys on them. They’ll do it forever, and never fuck. I don’t need to see a girl with that little vibrating thing for 45 minutes.

A very interesting topic to read about: the brothel that was on the property where the NMAI building is now, across the street from the Capitol. The madam who ran it was the richest--and one of the most powerful--women in DC in the Civil War era. It was legal, and there was an underground tunnel connecting the Capitol and the brothel.

Some of the excavated items are in a small museum in the back section of the Willard hotel.
