The first time you mongered

The year was 2012. I think it was a combination of curiosity and feeling like dating was a big sham - both guy and girl put forward their best selves but both individuals have different expectations. Anyway I hadn't found SH yet so I was literally walking in to random parlors and trying to act like I knew the game and failing miserably. Finally I stumbled on this little spot off canal and mulberry (201c canal) and found magic. I became determined to find other places ... There had to be other guys out there like me who were in search of the same thing. I found SH soon thereafter and started absorbing and sharing as much as I could.

Life has changed quite a bit for me since that faithful day. I still hobby. Some days I wish I didn't as I hate the feeling of feeling addicted or in need.

Anyway...that's my first time. Would be happy to hear the various stories from fellow mongers...what got you into it? Do you regret it? Was it sheer luck or a calculated strategy that led you to your first time?

Very first time was at Beerfest @ Atlantic City 2 years back. I was with a a group and a few of us broke off and decided to relax for a bit before we hit the town. Guy I met just a few weeks past suggested we go to a massage parlor, I never been so whatever. What transpired during the session made me a life long hobbyist that I continue to this day. It was the sumner of 1994. Had backpain from doing some stunt work for a film shoot. I figured a massage would help. I looked in the newspaper and found a spot near my home. I called and went over later. So new to the game, I kept my underwear on. She starts massage, then takes off my underwear. I knew nothing about these places at this time. A little more than 2 years ago I found and ad in BP which lead me to SH. I joined and read up for a few months before finally deciding on a place. It took a while after that for my wife to drive me to a point where the time was right.

I followed the advice and suggestions of some users for your first visit and it worked better than expected. I still remember the feeling after spending an hour being pampered where everything was about me. I knew then that I would continue as often as I could afford financially and fit it into my schedule. I had no regrets.

There used to be a newspaper that had reviews of providers, so pre internet days, that was really helpful.

It was 1996 or 1997. The peep show joints got old and I can't stand strip clubs, so I was looking for something new. WOW...I feel so old. My first experience was around 1970 or so, the place, a showplace on Arch St. in Philly. Was called the Troc. Use to do afternoon and evening strip shows. After the shows, the dancers would work the audience. You could get a quickie at your seat or take out was available. Back in the day, there were lots of short stays hotels downtown Philly but a short ride to Admiral Wilson Blvd just across the bridge in NJ was full of short-stay motels. No internet back then just newspapers, things are so much better now for us hobbyists.

A friend told me that he had gone to an AMP once and gotten a HJ. This was back in 2010. I remember going home and discovering the world of AMP's from backpage at the time. I found this place during my lunch time. I remember getting to the door and then walking past it scared to ring the doorbell. I finally got the courage and rang the bell and went in. I had $123 on me and told the mamasan that this was the first visit. She brings me back to the room and introduces me to this mid-30's chinese woman who offers me to shower first. It was a stand up shower and as she was washing me, I got the hard on of my life, I almost poked her eye out. But she did not do anything sexual at first. Back to the room she started massaging and after 25 minutes or so nothing was happening. I never had a massage but was always curious. I was a little shy to let someone massage my body and turned down legit/therapeutic couples sessions at well established chain places with my wife. So about 5 years ago I had a back injury and went to physical therapy. My PT was this hot Asian doctor and she would massage my lower back as part of the therapy. It made me really hot each time and also made me realize that it wasn’t bad being massaged at all.... so I stopped at a place I had read about on SH that was close to home, which turned out to be Green Garden Therapy. I walked through the door not knowing what to expect and was surprised by how nice the place was inside. I don’t know if I expected something seedier. Either way I explained it was my first time ever and the provider, who was about 30 and VERY attractive, with a couple naughty tattoos, seemed to like this — it was like she was given a challenge to blow my mind (and other things). I went there looking for and expecting a HJ, but She asked if I wanted “everything”, and who was I to turn down this mega-sexy vixen? Ultimately I had one of the best experiences to date and I’ll never forget the excitement!
