Curious on thoughts about this.
Yes it is an app they claim you have to install but let's be honest, the app just tells you what they've already tracked.
I've been using the MIT app Privatekit for a few weeks and it does some similar things as far as telling you if you've been in the vicinity of an area highly infected.
It would be interesting to see if one could monger in June with the app being on and it tell you if some of the providers are a risk.

The inventor of that app would never have to work another day in his or her life if that could be created.

Heres an interesting thought. What if 70% of us are already infected and instead of avoiding people who are infected it becomes a tool to advise the few that arent to shelter in place? Wearing masks and social distancing are great ways to prevent virus spread, but I hear it can survive on glass, metal, and plastic for over a week!

I think this app could be a great help to getting us back on track, it would not be a silver bullet but informing people who may have been infected faster will slow the spread down dramatically while allowing others to continue relatively normally.

Yes there are privacy concerns, but that is the case with technology in the 21st century.
