PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A prostitution investigation has resulted in two arrests at a massage parlor on Main Street in Phoenixville.

The arrests were made at an establishment called the Tai Chi Gifts and Health Center, located at 8 S. Main Street, near the intersection with Bridge Street.
Police said they conducted a weeks-long investigation into the business, sending undercover detectives there on three separate occasions.

On each occasion, employees as the parlor offered the detectives sexual favors in exchange for cash, according to police.
On Wednesday morning, Nov. 6, just after 11 a.m., police executed a search warrant at Tai Chi. Two women, Hui Chen, 27, and Yuxian Yang, 42, were taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor counts of prostitution.

Police also seized a large amount of money, computers, cell phones, and condoms from the business.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said there may be additional arrests forthcoming.
Chen and Yang were both taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 13.

How were they supposed to post bail if all their money was seized? That hardly seems fair...
This is where they ought to have plan B. I recalled a provider busted in Philly and needed $ to bail herself out. She had no one to reach out for bail $ and does not speak English. The parlor manager reached out to me for assistance.

Fortunately, I stepped in advocating for her and the DA dropped the charges and released her.

They will need to have plan B in place if something happens to any providers being arrested.

Main problem is Cash Asset Forfeiture (CAF). We can lobby and make changes on the CAF, but I am sure 99% or more of the mongers do not want to expose their faces and names, which is understandable.
