I had a date all set with a new girl at nyaw,Color. I made the appointment the night before, confirmed today, and then from downstairs. Buzzed in and was told no one was available. Seems like she thought I was the person who got there just before I arrived. I had come in from the burbs so this was a real pain. No offer to make it up as well. There are lots of alteratives so I will cross them off the list.

NYAW is sloppy right now for sure. I'd give it a miss for a while and see if comes around again.
Much better options elsewhere imo.

I find some of the comments on this thread quite amusing. There seem to be a number of interpretations of a very simple thing. I was meeting some friends for drinks and dinner in the city and since I don't get into the city that often I also wanted to have a romp beforehand. Plain and simple. Get laid and then have dinner with two longtime buddies, have a drink, tell jokes, maybe talk about the Yankees. It seems that the simplicity of that is beyond the comprehension of some folks here. Not everything in life is about getting laid or has sexual undertones. Sometimes drinks and dinner with friends is just that.
