Thinking about a burner. Hoping to pay in cash and limit links.

Any suggestions on best ways to setup a burner?

im going to take someone’s suggestion from the departed board and scuff it up before storing it in the tire well. So it looks like a mechanic lost it

Shared appl family apps are a pita.

Make a purch in a burner app and it pings the family account.

And free Goo voice links directly To your account so they can mine Your data. If you set up an email Acct for the purpose it will be on you list of goo logins making it pretty easy for SO to see.

If you pick up my phone

Im pretty much always logged onto Goo maps. Tap the account icon/initial at top right and you’ll get a list of associated accounts that google knows about.

You can tell Goo to forget specific acct but then you would have to renter them and wipe them each time you use g voice (in full paranoia mode lol).

It seems to me that someone who logged on under an 'anonymous' handle, who tells someone else they are paranoid for their burner phone management, might harbor some of their own favorite forms of precautions / paranoia.

What does an important government figure look like? I thought they were the same as unicorns.

Without fail you will always have the tough guys or the bold guys or whoever they like to think of themselves as lecture or berate the people who are cautious and want to share info about staying below the radar. To those folks....CONGRATS! You have achieved that sweet place in life where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, regardless of how it might impact people around you. Here here, my hat is off to you. People like that should be above posting unhelpful comments when a fellow monger posts looking for info.

That said, now to the original question. If the SO has you on the radar to the point that she is looking on the wheel well, she is not going to buy that it belongs to some mechanic, scuffed or not. All that will give you is the ability to have a story and stick to it. If you have people in the car for work, you would be better leaving it in the backseat and claiming someone left it there. That story has a little better chance of flying. My phone is under my spare, but if it is ever found, I know that I am done. I have come to accept that as a risk I am willing to take for banging 4'11" asians...
