Running into other patrons

So, on my way out of a local fave spa, I cross paths with a fellow patron who was coming in. We kinda looked at each other oddly. Most places prevent this from happening. I didn't care for it. I know everyone may have different feelings on this. But what are your thoughts?

It doesn’t bother me. I have had conversations with a few and compared notes.

I think one of the real reasons the providers try to keep us separate and prevent us from running into each other is because they don’t want us to see them greet someone else with the same enthusiasm that they greet us.

Never bothered me. If you are uncomfortable seeing others who do what you do, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it?
Of course, the one thing that bothered me was seeing someone I know. It only happened once, at West Garden. Luckily, he was coming out as I was about to go in, but I was walking fast down the street - so I just walked past and briefly said hello...then walked around the block and entered after he was long gone.

I wouldn't let it bother you DWind. We all enjoy a good massage on occasion. Like the other guys said as long as you don't know them.
Hell I walked out of the shower and said hi to the next guy on his way in, no big deal. I am half tempted to start shouting our members names and ask is that you so and so.

why be worried someone sees ya? I just smile and nod.

As a professional, I may run into a colleague. Then again, they're enjoying the same slice of life...

Thanks for the input.

Yeah, I think the unknown part of our handles helps because who would want everyone on internet to know who we are. Personally, it would be cool to know some mongers in real life. I’m sure at some of our ages it’s tough to find good friends. Could be cool to call a buddy/fellow monger and tell them our experience. Go for lunch. Go for a drive. Etc. Finding someone with a similar hobby helps to keep a friendship worthwhile.

Tis true.
On another thread regarding "Who knows?" I mentioned only one other friend knows I've done this, and I know he does. It's good to have a friend to share with. I wish I had one or two more. Helps with avoiding the potential damage of "where were you and what were you doing?" when it comes up.
"Oh, I met yh33 at the bar for a quick drink and it turned into two...sorry."

I used to get bothered by this but it doesn't bug me anymore. I appreciate the girls keeping us isolated, but I know accidents happen. My big concern has always been running into a customer or Co worker, but it hasn't happened in 15 years.

It only happened to me once in 35 years of AMP visits. Lilly's Spa in Wrightstown, NJ.

In all other instances where there was the possibility of seeing another monger, the masseuse would just keep me in the room until the other guy was in another room.

Of course, there was the other time when I ran into a few Pennsylvania State Troopers at a spa.:D

I do not get it!!! We go to work, gyms, stores, games, bars, restaurants and other events together. What is the big deal with seeing one another in a spa?
Some of us will be wearing our masks whether it is mandated or not!!!
Agree. It never bothered me, though in my experience at AMPs, the gals seemed to have had direct orders from the mamasan to not have one monger pass by another monger in the hallway or lobby area. As I said in my previous post, it only happened once to me.

It is a guy (mental) thing. you walk in expecting a big hug and kiss from your beautiful flower and instead see her hugging and kissing another man. The back of your mind starts imagining her with that guy instead of you. What a joy kill.
