hey @luvjackshack thanks so much for that. Appreciate it.

Felt good, didn't it? I was surprised at how I always was in such a good mood after I finished volunteering. It's humbling and also very rewarding.

I'll probably go feed the geese by Tony's place tomorrow. I was out in NJ this weekend but I'm back in Queens now.
I'm doing okay - thanks for asking. Once a week I still volunteer as a tribute to Tony. And once a week I hit up a spa as well (not as a tribute -- but everyone once in a while I come across a spa woman that makes me think "Ahh... Tony would love her!". It makes me smile and a little sad at the same time.

Every once in a while I come across his old text messages on my phone and read them again. I think I should delete them sometimes but I just can't bring myself to do that yet...

Best wishes for a happy holiday and new year, bro. Thanks again for caring.

Totally get the text messages @bxboy.
Someone close to me died 2.5 years ago and I haven't deleted the texts.
I probably never will.
So great you are stilling carrying on Tony's good work!
Happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas & New Year to you and to all!
Happy Hanukkah too if that applies!

Thanks Slim. Always appreciate your friendship here.

Tony thought you were a good guy. He thought it would be great to grab dinner with you and then visit a spa. That’s another thing about his passing- I don’t put off getting together with friends and family as much anymore.

And thank you for sharing that about your old text messages. Nice to know that I’m not alone in feeling the way that I do.

Happy holidays and new year’s to you as well bro. Really glad you’re a friend on this site.

Such a nice thought, sir.
That would have been so great.
I was lucky to have gotten to know him here, and meeting up in person would have been so much better.
Yes...life is too short.

@bxboy and @AutomaticSlim I get it also , my mom passed away 2012 she called me that morning at work and she never called me at work saying she didn’t feel good we talked a little , I thought about it for a minute and left work because she never called me at word . I get to her house and she is unresponsive I called 911 and start CPR . The hospital put her on life support no brain activity so two days later we take her of life support . With everything going on I never looked at my phone my mom left me a message telling me I was a good son and she loved me , I still have that message on my phone

@luvjackshack Wow... thanks for sharing your story. Sorry for your loss. Since Tony's passing I've heard a few stories like that. So sad.

I would do a screenshot of that text message and send it to my email just in case it gets lost or deleted somehow.

Thanks for commenting and sharing bro. It seems like even after all this time Tony is finding a way to bring people together somehow...

Last night I called an old AMP girl friend over to my house , she make some dumplings and I make my mom’s pork chops and gravy cooked together my friend really like the dinner I cooked for her and I thanked her for the dumplings she said it’s what friends do for one another , she ended up staying the night and made my breakfast this morning before she had to leave . I also took a snapshot like you said . Thanks

One year ago I lost a very good friend here. Can't believe it's been that long. Sometimes it feels like it's only been a few weeks...

Big Tony seemed to have quite a few people who like and/or respected him on this board. So it's been really touching to go through all of the comments again tonight.

Special thanks to @rAMPage for keeping Tony's SOMETHING POSITIVE thread going and at the top of this section.
Thank you again for this kind gesture.

Last year I asked all of you to either tip your cap, bow your head, or just have a moment of silence for the big man.
If you can do the same today I know it would mean a lot to him, as well as to me.

RIP TONY88

Never met Tony…exchanged a few thoughts …those of you fortunate to have known him have said he was a soulful brother … a true friend …no matter what road…no matter what job, he was always there with you…was a big guy and had a big heart…always open …, always an encouraging word…always an open door…with the wind at his face he would never waiver in those difficult times …the true measure of a true friend…yes my friends he touched us… today am reminded to be more kind to others… like Tony…
