11 AMPs got raided in Seattle, with $137,000 in cash seized.

On-line reviews did them in. Welcome to the New World.

Brother, this whole SITE is designed to make LE's job much easier. Imagine if the DEA had a website where drug users detailed the locations of crackhouses and drug dens, experiences and even physical descriptions of drug dealers all over the country? How insanely stupid would that be? Like shooting fish in a barrel.

I've purposely been avoiding my usuals and going to therapeutic places (or at least what I strongly believe are therapeutic) because it's only a matter of time before we here about something serious in the NJ/NY area. 40th Rd in Flushing is always a prime target, but soon enough something close to home is going to get stung.

I think because of the sheer volume number of AMPs in the NY/NJ area, they literally don't have the manpower to bust them all in one day. I know of four separate popular spots in Queens that are now closed after a raid. I think they're doing it sector by sector. Heaven help the monger who is occupied in a moment of massage bliss when Officer Moretti and his 8 friends bust into the room with silver bracelets for everyone.

At this point, for real, it's just not worth it. How can anyone honestly relax for an hour when every knock at that spa door could be the end of their home life or career?

We'd all wish that they'd just leave us alone but, coast to coast, LE is clearly not going to let this go.

It is not just the reviews but the stupid questions members post
To top it off idiots actually answer them on a public discussion. When are they going to learn, when their local spas goes down I guess. Oh but there is another one that will open up down the road is their response.

There's a lot coming out on this in Seattle and the cops are linking it to operations in New York. So, all be careful because they seem intent on doing something on the east coast.

you say online reviews did them in, according to the article:

"
Years of complaints from three neighborhoods
“For more than four years, police received a steady stream of complaints about massage parlors offering more than body rubs — with most of the complaints coming from business owners and residents in the Chinatown-International District, Beacon Hill and Sodo — according to Umporowicz.
While there are now an estimated 75 illicit massage parlors citywide, those three neighborhoods formed the epicenter of what became known as “Operation Emerald Triangle.” As part of the larger investigation, Umporowicz and his squad have established probable cause to bust 18 other massage parlors and are planning more arrests in coming weeks.”

I don't like or appreciate detailed reviews and stupid questions about damage. But, I really don't think review sites are necessarily the cause of the raids.

Let's face it, LE knows and patronizes the same spas we do. Often when LE is sent in to bust a local spa, the providers are surprised to see a few of the LE as their former customers. LE does not act until, they get a complaint, until a health inspector or fire inspector notifies them of something, or until they get pressure from local city council.
